HMTV Asia: Hi guys how are you?

Isolate: We're doing fine.

HMTV Asia: So, when did u guys start the band?

Isolate: We started the band back in 1999. Nick and Matt picked up some guitars and started jamming then Josh decided to start playing drums and the three of them started the band.

HMTV Asia: They say choosing the name of the band is not very easy. Who and how did you come up with the band name?

Isolate: We actually took a bunch of names that we decided might be good, put them in a hat and got isolate out of it, it worked out perfect.

HMTV Asia: Who and what inspired you when writing your songs?

Isolate: We were all inspired by many different bands and listen to a lot of metal, the main influences that helped us create our sound are system of a down, Deftones, Godsmack, and dry kill logic for the most part.

HMTV Asia: Tell us about your music?

Isolate: Well basically our music is a culmination of 4 people who all have different but similar tastes in music. It brings a certain variety to the band that is essential to making good music.

HMTV Asia: Who are your current members and how you meet?

Isolate: Nick (Guitars), Josh (Drums) and Matt (Vocals) are all related and grew up playing together, Jeremy (Bass) has been a good friend of matts and when they needed a bass player he joined and have been making music since.

HMTV Asia: Any latest news?

Isolate: We got a new album just released, we are currently working on booking and playing more shows, and are in pre-production on a video for our song Mindless.

HMTV Asia: 8. Are you working on a new album and how many album have you done in the past?

Isolate: Our newest album was just released, "The End of the Beginning" but we have done 2 in past as well including "Silence Kills" (2005) and "36 Degrees of Deception" (2003)

HMTV Asia: Are you guys going on tour?

Isolate: Well as we said we are currently working on booking and playing shows mostly, but not limited to, the west coast.

HMTV Asia: How long have you been an HMTV band and how do u like it?

Isolate: We recently joined up but we are already loving it and hope to be a part of HMTV for a while, you guys rock.
